In an encouraging move, India’s largest vocational training network in the apparel sector, Apparel training and Design Centre (ATDC), has initiated a new concept, ‘ATDC-SMART- INSIDE’.The concept goes in sync with the ‘Skill India’ campaign introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and aims to provide training and technical services to a larger number of manufacturing units. The initiative offers 11 comprehensive training courses for the duration of 300 hrs that will take 6-7 weeks to complete.
The centre has successfully implemented the program by setting up training cells in some of the apparel units with a target to train minimum 300 candidates per annum in each training cell. The very first training cell was opened in Jyoti Apparels (Manesar, Haryana), followed by training cells at Fine fit Garment (Tamil Nadu), R.K Industry (Chennai), KG Garments (Ludhiana)
