Nayaab is an exhibition in pursuit of excellence in the textile crafts of India featuring Kashmir Looms - Asaf & Samina, En Inde - Anupama Sukh Lalvani & Sonal Sood, Brigitte Singh, Gaurang Shah, AKAARO - Gaurav Jai Gupta, Abraham & Thakore, Mallika Mathur, Monapali, Pero, Swati Kalsi, Weavers Studio, Kora - Anjali Kalia.
Set to inaugurate in Chennai on Aug 8 till Aug 10, 2016, the garment trade fair would showcase textiles with exceptional artisanal inputs as an example of inspiration to many craft textile businesses along with a complementary section of products of different producers who are also in the journey of quality that will be available for collectors of textile crafts.
Nayaab will endeavour to move away from the watered down textile crafts and showcase the more difficult laborious, old, complicated traditional skills being produced by revivalists who are dedicated to the pursuit of these exceptional skills
